Pumpkin Time

Okay, so I know it's not Friday but I just like to brag about what we do! Anyways, I'll be on the road Friday too.

So last night we were all just goofing off around the house after baths. The kids were so tired and we were (daddy was) just making them even more tired.

Forgive daddy's funny face, he was blowing on James's hair to make him laugh.

Well, we got up this morning and decided to take the kids to a pumpkin patch. We had a lot of fun, it was a little chilly when we first got there but quickly warmed up to a very nice comfortable day. Madison and James enjoyed seeing all the animals at the animal farm. Madison got to paint a pumpkin and James had a blast with the chickens there. We watched a pig race, took a ride on a hay wagon to the pumpkin patch. The only thing we didn't do was the 8-acre corn maze do the kids getting very tired and we were not really wanting to have to carry the both of them through the whole thing. I do believe they had fun because both passed out quickly after leaving.

My little artist at work (she get's the artist side from her Aunt Nett, lord knows mommy and daddy have none!).

Playing around in the pumpkin patch and letting Madison choose a pumpkin, she wanted a baby one because the big ones were too heavy (so she said).

Madison enjoying the horse ride - she talked about this the entire time we were there and kept saying that she was going to ask Maw Maw and Paw Paw to buy her a pony.

At the end of our trip Madison took a Tractor train ride, she had a blast. They went surprisingly fast. I thought for sure the kids would be scared but they all enjoyed it.

Getting started

Well I have decided to start this blog page. I know I have a myspace page, but not everyone in my family has a page so I figured this would be a great way for everyone to know that we are all still alive and well. I think I'll try to post a new blog every Friday and let everyone know what has happened this week in our wonderful family. Please bear with me while I attempt to figure out how to post it better and add pictures and everything.

September 22-28th

Well this week we spent a lot of time outside because of the wonderful weather. We did have a pretty busy week running around getting last minute things done before we head down to Texas, but otherthan that we've just been enjoying our last few weeks here in Virginia (at least for a few months).
Madison drove her jeep around the yard (even though she is a horrible driver), while James crawled after her. We even drew Daddy some pretty flowers on the ground with the chalk. Poor James was just covered in pink chalk from crawling through it. He started waving this week and thought he could crawl past me to the playground without me. I had to run after him, I can already see what's instore for me.
I took both of the kids for a health checkup. Their doctor wanted to see them one last time before we headed to Texas. She is so sweet, she even gave me extra Tylenol to bring just in case. Madison is getting very big, she weighed in at 40 pounds even and was 40 inches in height. Little James weighed in at 22.8 pounds and 28 1/2 inches long. They are both just growing so fast!

Avery's been busing this week, he put his leave packet in for process to come to Texas for Christmas. Other than that he has had a lot of time off this week from Advance because of the cooler weather. So we have enjoyed him around the house (at least I have because he cooks).
As for me, well I'm just getting things together to begin packing this week. I un-packed all my old work clothes from boxes and washed them so they are ready to pack. I'm so happy to be able to work a little while I'm down there. Getting a list together of what I need to bring down there. I got all of Jeannette's bridal shower invitations mailed out and finally finished all of James's birthday invites so they are ready to be mailed.
